Participating Team
Total 20 teams from Boys Team will be divided into 3 Category, each Category has 5 teams and 5 teams from Girls Team will be participating including local and foreign:
 
Boys Team Category:
A.  U-13 (players born in 2010 or later)
B.  U-15 (players born in 2008 or later)
C.  U-17 (players born in 2006 or later)
 
Girl Team Category:
D.  U-16 (players born in 2007 or later)
 
Eligibility of Players
Each team is allowed to register a maximum of 12 players.
 
Submission of Entry Form
Each team shall comprise 12 players and 2 Official Team (eg : Team Manager/Head Coach/Assistant Coach)
 
Tournament Rules
  1. The tournament conducted in accordance with the Official Basketball  Rules of FIBA 2022 and that are modified by DBL Academy as a Tournament Orginizer.
  2. The first round of the championship will be played in round robin system (Each team must play all the team) The team ranked on number 1 until 4 will play in Semi Final as a Playoff Phase.
  3. For the Semifinal and final rounds:
    1. For teams that qualify for Semi Final are 1st – 4th rank.
    2. Determination of the semifinal chart is 1st rank will meet with 4th rank and 2nd rank will meet with 3rd rank.
    3. The winning team in Semi Final will play in Final Round, and NO play for 3rd place.
    4. For the teams that are tie in the standing shall be determined in accordance with the Official Basketball Rules of FIBA 2022.

  5. All games are to be played 4x10 minutes running clock (including freethrow and time out). Clock will stop in the last 2 minutes of last quarter.
  6. There is 24 second shot clock in every games
  7. 1 team has 5 time out (1st half 2 times, 2nd half 3 times) the duration of time out is 30 second
  8. Any Overtime in rounds will be only 3 minutes, whilst in Final it will be 5 minutes. In the overtime each team is only given 1 time out.
  9. Defense for U13, U15 Boys and U16 must be man to man defense. (No Zone Defense allowed)
  10. Defense for U17 Boys can play man to man or zone defense
  11. Ball sizes will be size 6 for U13 Boys & U16 Girls, U15 & U17 Boys will be size 7
Players’ Jersey
  1. Each team shall have two sets of contrasting tone jerseys, one dark and one light (preferably white) in color. The first team listed in each tournament match schedule shall wear the light-colored jersey while the other team shall wear the dark-colored jersey.
  2. The number of the player jersey shall be in 2 digits from 00 (or “0”) to 99. The jersey numbers of the players shall be consistent to the jersey numbers stated in the entry form. The number of the player have to be written on the front and the back of the jersey
  3. During the game, team must wear socks of the same dominant color for all players of the team.
Team Officials
All team officials have to dress formal and neatly during the game. For male, wearing long shirts with long ties and long trousers with formal shoes. Formal coat are optional. For female, wearing shirts and formal skirt with formal shoes. No t-shirts and short pants allowed.

Duties of The Participating Teams
  1. Teams taking part in the tournament must respect and adhere to the rules and regulations. In the event of violation of any rules & regulations, the organizer shall be entitled at its sole discretion to deal with the violation by applying penalties such as disqualification, permanent ban from the tournament, as it may deem fit. In particular, teams participating in the tournament may not under any circumstances:
    1. Refuse to play a game or leave the playing area before the end of a game;
    2. Refuse to participate in - or leave before the end of - the opening ceremony and/or the award ceremony and the closing ceremony;
    3. Behave inappropriately or unprofessionally (or make insulting remarks), thus disrupting the smooth running of the matches, official functions orceremonies during the tournament.

  • Any inquiries, uncertainties, problems or matter not expressly provided for in this Rules and Regulations shall be decided by DBL Academy and its decision shall be final.
  • DBL Academy as organizer reserve the rights to made changes, to add, delete and/or vary the said rules in its absolute discretion and as it deems fit from time to time. Any changes will be publish to all participating teams.
